A home network is a residential local area network, and is used to connect multiple devices within the homes : that doesn’t mean that you have to be an engineer to connect your PC to your TV ! Thank to the NEOTION Pocket DUO and it’s DHCP functionalities, software and hardware installations in your home network could be realised in less than 5 minutes by everyone.

You can connect the NEOTION Pocket Duo in you Home Network by :
- Ethernet Ethernet :
The classic solution with Ethernet cable, for speeds of 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s, or 1 Gbit/s. A basic Ethernet connection, at 10Mbit/s is really enough to transport Videos/Photos/Musics/Web TV-Radios from your PC to your TV. Simple and low-cost solution, the Ethernet network have just one little inconvenient: un-esthetical cables in your home !

- Wifi Wifi :
Wi-Fi allows LANs to be deployed without cabling could be a good network solution for an esthetical PC-TV convergence network. Wi-Fi pollution can prevent access and interfere, as well as with decreased signal-to-noise ratio between access points. This can be a problem in high-density areas, such as large apartment complexes, big walls, stairs, etc…. Additionally, other devices use the 2.4 GHz band: microwave ovens, security cameras, Bluetooth devices and (in some countries) Amateur radio, videosenders, cordless phones and baby monitors can cause significant additional interference.

- PLC PLC :
Electrical wiring (aka “Power Line Communication - PLC”) for speeds of 14 Mbit/s to 200 Mbit/s are one of our preferred solution to connect a NEOTION Pocket Duo to a home Network. Few cables, no limits in the house due to microwawe parasites or big walls blocking a wifi signal. Power line communications technology use the household electrical power wiring as a transmission medium and offer a huge, invisible, stable and easy to install network for a PC in a Room connected to a NEOTION Pocket Duo in the living room !

>> The PLC solution for Home Network with the NEOTION Pocket DUO is recommended in all situations, for any kind of house with a correct and not too old electric installation and is an ideally medium cost solution.

Use the network of your choice, Ethernet, WiFi or PLC… The NEOTION Pocket DUO is UPnP and DHCP ready: that means that you don’t need to spend hours to customize or parameter your home network to have a successful installation !
